About Me
My name is Sydia Bagley
Sydia Bagley is a remarkable individual who overcame significant challenges to transform her life and make a positive impact on her community. After serving a decade in federal prison and then facing the complexities of five years on supervised release, she embarked on a journey of reintegration into a world that had dramatically changed during her incarceration. Sydia was determined to build a life of freedom that she rightfully deserved, not only for herself but also for her family.
Fueled by her unwavering determination and resilience, Sydia embarked on a path that would lead her to success in the culinary arts. She honed her skills, learned the nuances of the culinary world, and discovered her passion for food. With hard work and dedication, she eventually realized her dream of owning her own restaurant, a testament to her unwavering commitment to her goals.
But Sydia's journey wasn't just about personal success; it was also about being a loving and devoted mother. Despite the demands of her entrepreneurial endeavors, she managed to balance her responsibilities as a mother with remarkable grace and strength.
In her community, Sydia became affectionately known as the "Best Trap Queen," a title she earned through her inspirational journey of triumph over adversity. Three years after her release, she founded "Locked Down Love," an organization dedicated to supporting individuals facing the daunting challenges of reintegration into society after incarceration. Her deep empathy, understanding, and personal experiences made her uniquely qualified to guide others through the complex maze of obstacles and stigmas that often follow incarceration.
Now, Sydia is celebrating her sixth year of honoring her peers in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. She has become a beacon of hope for those who have experienced incarceration, proving that with resilience, hard work, and unwavering determination, it is possible to overcome the odds and create a life filled with success, purpose, and a sense of belonging in society.
